Some of the cases in this book are edited way too much, and important (and highly relevant information) is lost in the process. Omitting certain significant procedural and historical details from a lot of these cases results in a slew of cases that do not much more than confuse. Cleaving most of the cases on choice of law to get them to a simple 2-3 pages makes for convenient reading, but really no informative value on how or why courts get to the choice of law decisions they make. And the notes and comments sections, instead of illuminating the dearth of relevant background in the cases, only offer up more scatterings and tidbits of information on choice of law theory that, without a more solid presentation, make for fun exam questions but a pretty incomprehensible presentation of conflicts of law.
