What an absolute sweet story! This is the story of Wes and Hannah...Hannah was married to Wes identical TWIN brother. Yes...I said it T W I N! He died unexpectedly which throws Hannah and her young daughter into a deep depression. Then Wes comes back into town and at first, all the pain of losing her husband comes back.Wes has ALWAYS loved Hannah and stepped aside so his brother could have her but he never, ever forgot about her. When he comes back, he starts to spend more and more time with Hannah and you can see the genuine love they have. Now of course because Wes was her dead husband's twin, it throws the tiny town in to a tizzy but Wes REFUSES to give up!I cannot tell you how many times I cried or laughed at what was going on. This was such a touchy subject and Melanie handled it BEAUTIFULLY!This is such a wonderful read that I know I will be reading it again and again in the future. Well done Melanie Harlow!!!
Bring on the book hangover and pass the tissues. From This Moment is a beautiful emotional read. My heart broke for all that Hannah goes through as a widow and single mom. My heart broke a little more for the battle Hannah and Wes go through. My heart was mended and filled with such love for Hannah and Wes as they finally gave in. Watching Wes and Hannah is an amazing thing. Wes is not as identical to his late twin brother as you think. And wowza do those sparks fly. Boy did Lenore remind me of my own Mother In Law. There seems to be no pleasing that woman. She is what you would think most Mother In Laws are like. I really didn't want to put this one down because that would only mean I finished reading it. Be prepared for a beautiful emotional journey. Melanie Harlow did another fantastic job with this one. She knows how to draw out such emotions in her writing. LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. A MUST READ
I'm a huge fan of Melanie Harlow's books and every time I pick up a new one, I know that I'm in for a beautiful story. From This Moment isn't just beautiful, it is stunning! It is romantic, emotional and sexy and it will pull at your heartstrings from the very first page. The storyline is one that cuts deep right from the start: widowed and still grieving, single mother Hannah is faced with her deceased husband's identical twin brother, Wes returning to town after a long absence. Unbeknownst to Hannah, Wes has had feelings for her since they first met. Like a punch to the gut, you will feel the torment that both Hannah and Wes experience as the story progresses. Be prepared to shed some tears as Harlow weaves a masterfully emotional journey of love, loss, recovery and hope. You'll definitely need those tissues so keep them handy! Along with the heavier parts of the books, there is a ton of sexual tension that exists from the moment Wes and Hannah see each other. From incendiary glances to whisper-soft touches in passing, these two cause the air to crackle every time they are together. And when they finally get together? Lawd, these two are off-the-charts HOT! Their chemistry is completely explosive.I was hooked from the first page until the last as Harlow worked her magic throughout. The characters are deeply real and easy to relate to as we've all experienced some type of loss at some point in our life. The grief that Hannah feels is palpable and at times left me feeling like I was suffering right along side her. Her heartbreak and despair over the loss of her husband slowly morphs into hope and eventually "rebirth" as she begins to move on and open her heart once again to the possibility of love. Wes---sexy, dirty-talking, romantic Wes....this man put aside his own happiness for years while he sat on the sidelines as his brother married the woman of his dreams. He, too goes through a sort of healing process as he faces the losses he has suffered. Together, Wes and Hannah face the greatest challenge---a tough, uphill climb as they move on together in a world where judgmental family and community members make it seem that what they are doing is "wrong" or "immoral". Hannah's adorably sweet daughter Abby brings much needed lightness and humor to balance out the deeper emotional aspects of the story. Her innocence and wide-eyed view of the world and how things should be is refreshing and real. I adored her!In From This Moment, Melanie Harlow restores faith that finding love after tragedy really is possible. She gives readers hope that from the darkest corners of despair, there is light and if you let that light in, you just may find a new happiness that will overshadow all of the darkness that came before it.
