As of 2017 outdated. Several codes referenced have been deleted. The book explains what is in each section and subsection of codes, and that is about it. The explanations are very vague and left us with a lot of questions. My class often had to do extra research outside of the book to clarify the use of a lot of the codes. It does not give any guidance or recommendations as to how to go about finding those codes in an index search. My class had several discussions about how unhelpful this book was.
My daughter got this for college & it is just what she needed. Would order again.
Excellent book! I used this book to supplement the professor's lectures for my CPT coding class. Got an A :)
